MPA GIA Application Process

What is the MPA GIA Application Process?

This article explains the overall application and selection process for the MPA Global Internship Award (GIA), from registration to offer acceptance.

Step 1: Application submission

Students begin by submitting an application for the MPA Global Internship Award through the MaritimeONE portal.

Step 2: Screening and shortlisting for GIA interviews

Applications will be reviewed as part of the screening process.

Shortlisted students will be invited to proceed to the GIA interview stage, which is used to determine whether they are suitable to move forward in the programme.

Step 3: Interviews with host companies

After the GIA interview stage, shortlisted students may be:

  • Contacted by participating companies
  • Invited for interviews via chat or video calls
  • Assessed for specific internship roles

Step 4: Internship offers

Shortlisted students may receive internship offers and will be required to respond within the given timeframe.

Step 5: Programme participation

Students who accept an offer will officially join the MPA Global Internship Award programme and begin their internship.

Step 6: Post-internship submission

At the end of the internship, students will be required to submit a Student Report as part of the programme requirements.
