Understanding the Active Employer Badge: How It Works and Why It Matters
The Active Employer badge recognises organisations that stay engaged on the MaritimeONE Career Portal. It helps jobseekers easily identify employers who are actively hiring and responsive.
Benefits of the Active Employer Badge
Having the Active Employer badge can help to:
increase the visibility of your job postings
strengthen your employer branding
make it easier for jobseekers to discover your organisation
keep your badge active through automatic renewal when the criteria are met
How the Active Employer Badge Appears

Employers who meet the criteria will have the Active Employer badge displayed on their job postings. This badge appears on the top left corner of the job listing card, helping jobseekers easily identify organisations that are actively hiring and managing their postings.
This visual indicator increases credibility and signals to jobseekers that the employer is actively engaged on the portal.
How to Qualify for the Active Employer Badge
To qualify for the Active Employer badge, employers must meet the following criteria:
1. Complete Company Profile
Ensure your company profile is fully completed and includes a company logo.
2. Post or Update Jobs
Post or update at least one job within a 365-day period.
3. Update Hiring Status
Update each job’s hiring status within 30 days after the job expires.

As long as all criteria continue to be met, your badge will renew automatically for another 365 days.
